Amazingly efficient and organized is the phrase that comes to my mind when I think about Oskar. So, I came to know Oskar during my Master’s in Business Administration at the Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam) as a lecturer of the course “Organization Development and Change” . Subsequently, I had the opportunity and pleasure to be supervised by him during my Master Thesis. During the period of six months I had several meetings with Oskar about the progress and improvement of my research. I was extremely impressed by Oskar’s ability to capture even the smallest details in my project through which he guided me along the process. The subject of my thesis was “frontline employee engagement during organizational change” and Oskar’s in-depth knowledge and expertise in concepts of organizational change and employee engagement guided me at every point of my research. There were areas that I had overlooked due to my personal bias towards the employees in the researched organization, but I am extremely grateful that Oskar picked up this bias and demonstrated an organizational point of view which helped me to draw a balanced conclusion to my research. And finally, no matter how stressed and lost I was during the whole process of writing, Oskar made sure that I leave every meeting with a smile.
